DHACHAIGH (HOMELAND or TO A LOCH)
Over the lochs black waters
Hang heavy clouds in the glommy sky
And foggy ships skim down the hills
To kiss the waves as innocent shy
As lovers kiss the first time |
|
|
The mist hangs jewels like little tears
In the willows swaying arms
And they immerse their arms in the water
To give it the little tearlike charms
Like a present from a loving hand |
And through the landscapes dignity
Fly tunes of long forgotten days
That tell the storys of ancient greatness
And I know - That's where my heart lays !
Like lovers lay by each other |
|
|
You were my heartland
And you were my home
And you will be
You`ll ever be |
|
